We see our activity as researchers as a situated practice. Organizational and social inquiry is not simply describing worlds; it is at the same time an enactment of worlds. Exploring limitations and possibilities of work relations in the cultural field is an engagement in “world making” and “disclosing new worlds” rather than a neutral representation. Necessarily we are involved in “ontological politics” (Law/Urry 2004). We understand our own work as an ethico-aesthetic practice guided by values of openness and respect for the other. Inspired by an attempt to think and organize differently, we want to contribute to the ongoing discussion on fundamental transformations in the world of work. |
